Daniel Carter, aka Red Carter, was born and raised in California. He soon realized that fashion was where he wanted to be and moved to Miami to pursue his dream. Red began his career by working for great designers like Victoria Secret, Guess, Esprit, and Oscar De La Renta, where he honed his craft. He currently works out of his design studio in New York City where all his ideas come to life.

Feeling as if the market was missing a contemporary brand where fit, form, and function combined with a whimsical twist to create amazing styles, he officially launched his own line in 2003. With his bold graphics and colorful placement prints, Red’s brand soon took Miami by storm. His first collection featured the signature red button with the Red Carter logo on each suit. This identifiable detail can still be found on every style today and is an iconic part of the brand.

Red puts his heart into each design but more importantly his personality. Red is always inspired by the places he travels to and the people he meets along the way. His fun and uninhibited energy comes through in each of his designs; the lifestyle brand he has created is made for that fun-loving, confident woman who loves to stand out wherever she goes.

In 2009, Red was featured as one of the IMG Mercedes Benz Swimwear Designers of the Year. Soon after, Everything But Water, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Anthropologie and Shop Bop quickly picked up the collection and Red Carter has been sold in these stores ever since. As the brand continues to grow, Red strives to bring the best fit, form and function to his customers. His designs have prominently been featured both in stores and online as business continues to grow.
